Most importantly, Steve at Ch4 is an excellent boiler and heating system engineer. Over the years he has both serviced and repaired my boiler to a very high standard. My most recent service provided a significant improvement in the performance of my heating system. A feat not achieved by any other engineer. I know Steve now, but he still treats me with the utmost professionalism and respect. Although he knows I trust him, he still runs tings by me and gives information to me in a way I can understand. He is patient and reassuring, and his customer service skills outstrip those of many customer service professionals. I feel lucky to be able to call on him for repairs and servicing. Steve is a great bloke, and I'm happy to trust him if I'm away and a neighbour gives him my key. Finally, he is tech savvy, and will send you an invoice and receipt by e-mail before he is off your property!

We had been looking for a trusted central heating engineer to replace our 15 year old Worcester Bosch Combi boiler. By coincidence we found out that Steve had done our neighbours boiler as well as a few others on the estate which put my mind at ease. During the quote he was very honest in regards to exactly what would need to be done to replace our existing boiler. During installation he ran me through step by step in plain english exactly what would be done for example the positioning of the pipework/flue to ensure I was happy. The job was done over 2 days and both Steve and his apprentice made sure the house was tidy before they left at the end of the day. His apprentice(James?) has also done an excellent job with the pipework. In summary if you are looking for a honest down to earth central heating engineer give Steve a call

When the problem was explained to Steve over the phone he gave us an approx.quote. He came out to us at 7pm fixed the problem there & then..& charged less! I was so pleased with the work that Steve carried out. Firstly he spent over 10 minutes on the phone to me putting my mind at ease and talking through what the problem could be. Then he came out very quickly, even though it was the Christmas period, and fixed the boiler. all it needed was a service which was a big relief. He talked me through the work he'd done and really put my mind at ease. The cost was very reasonable for the time taken, and he cleaned up after himself. One of the main things I'd recommend is Steve's manner and honesty. I have had some workmen who have been patronising and rude but not Steve. He is extremely professional. Oh and he arrived on time, to the minute.

I have used CH4 without hesitation for a good number of years now. Steve is always honest and fair, and he does the job right first time round. A really nice guy as well.

Having used British Gas for a number of years and having had an on going fault, we called Steve out and he spent an hours free time getting to the route cause of the problem. Steve then came back a few days later at a time convenient to us and fitted 3 radiators and a tap. We had problems with the delivery of the radiators from a local company so there was lots of messing about, in the end Steve called another firm for us and went and picked up the radiator himself to help us out. The service by both Steve and James who works for him was fantastic, I would definately use them again and recommend them to my friends.

I started using Steve and Ch4 when frustrated by the standard call out service with which I had a contract. That must have been about seven years ago. I then cancelled the contract and used Steve. I have found him excellent. For several years he told me that my boiler was fine and that there was no point in replacing it yet. Then when it did require replacement I had no hesitation in using him again. The new installation was entirely as planned - and was quick and no mess was left.
